I’ve been trying to brainstorm ways to make the paid experience of Coffee Order worthwhile for you all not only month-to-month, but on a weekly basis. In case you didn’t already know, I have the best friends in the world who like to serve as unpaid consultants for me. Hopefully I will be rich with a vacation home that they can go to for free or I can give them all Lamborghinis like Kanye West, but for now, I just say thank you and send pink heart emojis.

Together we came up with some great ideas, and the first one I will be implementing is a Friday Coffee on Me—if you invest $5 a month towards this publication (or less if you opt towards annual), you are automatically entered for a chance to win a Friday coffee (or matcha or beverage of your choice) on me with a new winner picked each week. It’s kind of like sports betting but way less cringe or reckless (unless you have a destructive caffeine addiction). If you restack it I’ll multiply your entry x5. You won’t be able to win twice within 30 days, but it’ll refresh on the 1st of every month. The winner will get a shoutout in the next week’s letter and if you send me a selfie I’ll include it also. To ensure you get to use it wherever you’d like, I’ll be emailing you at the address you’re subscribed with, and I can send you money however you’d like. We’re starting next week, so you still have time to upgrade to paid. I’ll be picking each Thursday night so watch out for an email.

Next Friday, October 31st, I will be announcing our gift guide initiatives for this year, including a Friday series I’m calling Coffee Dates. I’ll be interviewing local makers or owners about their business, and they’ll be sharing their picks for the holiday season along with some other surprises along the way exclusive to paid subscribers first or at all. I already have some very exciting guests lined up and I can’t wait to get started. That’s all you’re getting for now.
