Let's go on a coffee date.
You asked and I answered.
Merry Christmas week, everyone.
I plan on posting as usual throughout the “break”. Today, I felt like it would be fun to take some questions from the audience. This blog is a democracy. I posted both in the Subscriber Chat and on my Instagram Story and asked for you all to provide me with some questions you’d like answers on. Thank you to everyone who participated, this was really fun and I think we should do it once every so often.
Let’s get into our coffee date.
What is your favorite non-drinking activity to do in the New York Winter?
This is the first question on the list but the last one I answered because I had to think about it. I think it’s very important to support local culture and see shows or talks during the holidays. Some of my favorite places to do that are the 92nd Street Y, Town Hall, Union Hall stand-up comedy nights, or literally just going to the movie theater. Last winter my favorite show I saw was Oh Mary! with Cole Escola and the original cast (sorryyyyyy), and this winter I have plans to see Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen at the Beacon Theater, and the new Michelle Williams play. These also gather a very old-New York crowd. You’ll be the youngest in the room, to put it lightly.
Why do you love Russian Manicures so much?
I’m a chronic nail and hair picker. Meaning, I have bloody cuticles almost every day. This is embarrassing as an adult woman, so I’ve been seeking solutions. Russian Manicures eliminate any possible skin for me to pick at, and they last for about a month with no chipping, which means I have presentable nails for longer than usual.
What’s cool in NYC right now?
Eating at Funny Bar
Going out at Funny Bar
Posting from Funny Bar
Going to apartment parties
Not waiting in line at anything
What essential clothing item should every Teenage Adult have?
Every man or woman should have a black cashmere sweater. Crewneck or V-neck. I would consider a turtleneck also great to have but not essential. Here are some of my favorites:
Can you do Obama’s Top Songs, Movies, and Books of 2025?
I’m obsessed with this question. This holiday season, I’m paying gratitude towards Canva Pro.
What’s your favorite part of your morning and night routine?
I love this question. My favorite part of my morning routine is washing my face. I love to investigate my skin after a good night’s sleep with retinol slathered all over it, and then plump it back up with Caudalie and the La Roche Posay sunscreen.
My favorite part of my night routine is applying my cuticle oil before going to sleep. It’s the last thing I do so it doesn’t get all over my phone. This helps repair all of the damage I’ve done throughout the day while picking.
I also love making my coffee in the morning and tea at night. I do both religiously.
Favorite store in NYC?
My favorite clothing store is Sorbara’s in Williamsburg. I also do love Reformation Vintage on Ludlow. Los Angeles Apparel (I’msorryI’msorryI’msorryI’msorry), Coming Soon in the Lower East Side, and of course, RainySundayMorning House.
Favorite episode of Girls?
The Bushwick party episode where Shoshana accidentally does crack.
Favorite and least favorite color for you to wear, and also other people?
This is a very fun question. My favorite color to wear is black but that answer sucks. I like how I look in navy as well. I think as far as friends go, I have a lot of friends who look great in pink and blue. As far as men go, I really like when a guy can confidently wear an earthy green or grey.

You will never see me in beige. I hate beige. I hate when guys wear beige pants. If your boyfriend has beige pants, tell him to burn them. I also do not find orange particularly easy to wear but some people can pull it off.

What are some timeless holiday gifts?
A game goes a long way just because people collect those and play them over time. Obviously a watch, it doesn’t have to be expensive. Earrings, because everyone needs more earrings, a nice blanket, kitchenware, an art print.
What are your trend predictions for 2026?
We will probably see less color than usual, since the 90s CBK vibe is what people are harnessing recently. Boho will be more back than ever since we’re 20-years out from the mid 2000s, and I am a little worried that 2016 vibes will come back. I cannot participate. Indie Sleaze and Boho will probably go hand-in-hand. Ripped jeans during the summer, low-effort vibes.
If you could influence us all to buy ONE THING, what would it be?
I do think that everyone should have a watch. Again it doesn’t have to be nice, but you should wear one or have one for special occasions. Here are some cool ones at all different prices:
Midcentury Gold Bangle ($75)
Vintage Gucci Watch ($385)
Another Vintage Gucci Watch ($510)
Vintage Hermes H-Link ($1000)
What’s in your work bag?
I keep a makeup bag full of basic need products in case I have plans after work or some type of horrible accident. Deodorant, flossing picks, perfume, extra contacts, pimple patches, and a baby hairbrush can be found in it. Otherwise, cuticle oil, rhode peptide lip treatment, and recently either these hair clips or a scrunchie.
How do you fit so much into your days?
This is funny because it’s from my friend who says I do so much in a day. I am busy, and I think it’s because I spend so much time by myself. My Saturdays and Sundays don’t revolve around a plan with a friend until the evening typically, so I’m pretty dexterous throughout the day, I can go from place to task to errand and around without any interruption.
What should my family and I watch during the holidays?
The Family Stone
Marty Supreme
Monster-in-Law
My Mom Jane
He’s Just Not That Into You
What did you give your family this year?
I will say what I got my Dad because he won’t read this before Christmas. We got him Rothy’s loafers, a custom puzzle from our vacation, a weighted vest, and Bala Bangles (he loves to walk).
What’s your coffee order?
Iced coffee with half-and-half (no sugar).

also OBSESSED with that fourth outfit pic!!!!!!
