My top 10 favorite moments of 2022
I'm exhausted. Told in Tweets.
Another year older, another year wiser, and another year full of unforgettable moments that have clogged my Twitter and Instagram feeds for weeks and months.
2022 was one for the books. There were moments that changed the cultural zeitgeist forever, moments we hope to forget, stars being both born and fallen from grace, and an overall hope for an even more entertaining year to come.
Here’s my roundup of top 10 moments that overjoyed my pop culture obsessed heart, told through Tweets.
10. Pete Davidson

Pete Davidson finds his way into my heart every year. This year in particular, he dealt with K*nye like a champ, was the JFK to Kim’s Marilyn at the MET, sat courtside with Emrata at the Knicks, and managed to stay off the grid the entire time. Talk about just sliving (slaying at living) life.
9. The 1975 Resurgence
As someone who loved The 1975 in middle through high school (and attempted to base an entire personality around it), so seeing the TikTok girls obsess over Matty Healy is something of a comeuppance for me. Especially if Phoebe Bridgers is involved.
8. Euphoria season 2 finale episode
Shows that everyone rallies behind to watch as they premier live are few and far between this day and age. Instagram accounts have to preface spoilers on the weekly to have any internet discourse about a certain episode dropping, and every conversation starts with “wait…have you watched yet?” Euphoria was different. Especially the finale. We all logged onto our HBOMax accounts (or borrowed someone else’s) and watched Lexi Howard absolutely ruin her own sister’s life through the art of theatre. I still don’t think I’ve had chills like I had during "I need a hero”, or laughed as hard as I did scrolling through Twitter that night. We were a part of something.
7. The Rise of Julia Fox
The only good thing Kanye West did this year was bring Julia Fox into our lives. She went from being the first woman he stepped out with post divorce to a cultural phenomenon. She gave us some of the best fashion looks this year, some of the best soundbites, some of the best advice, and truly is one of the realest celebrities out there. I’ve never met her but I love her like a mother, and I hope this next year sends her into the stratosphere of opportunity.
6. Midnights by Taylor Swift dropping
As previously stated on this blog, a new Taylor Swift album signifies a sign of the times for me. It cues a personality change, as well as internet content for weeks and months to come that nourishes my brain like nothing else can. Although the Eras Tour left me heartbroken and distraught to this day, it again felt like we were all in it together. The “we” I’m speaking of? Once again, the TikTok/Twitter girls.
5. Addison Rae…period
If I could take back every single bad thing I said about Addison Rae from 2019-2022, I would. She is the princess of pop culture. She has the star power of an international sensation. Whether it’s the looks she serves on the way to Pilates, or any single red carpet appearance, she never messes. She’s managed to stay out of any drama, infiltrate the Kardashian Krew, have an extremely successful beauty line and beyond. I can’t wait to see where homegirl takes us in 2023.
4. The White Lotus Season 2
Similarly to the Euphoria phenomenon, The White Lotus season 2 provided a time where a very niche corner of the world came together and had a wonderful seven weeks. From Aubrey Plaza to Jennifer Coolidge, the casting was immaculate, the storylines were hilarious and genius, and it ended with city girls being up $50,000. Sorry if that’s a spoiler.
3. North West at Paris Fashion Week
I couldn’t write an entire blog post about this and not list it as a top 10 moment for me. I cannot wait to see what North West does with her life of immense privilege, and Paris Fashion Week was an incredible start. From drawing “STOP” on her invitation and holding it up the entire Jean-Paul Gaultier show to wearing K*nye’s vintage Pastelle varsity sweater, she served nonstop content on a silver platter.
2. The Don’t Worry Darling press tour

I honestly didn’t even want to say this, but it was too incredible that I ranked it as number two. While I’m personally upset about the Harry and Olivia breakup, it truly was the tragic end to an epic odyssey of what was a simple movie press tour. My personal highlights in a plethora of absolute madness was are as follows: Miss Flo, “I was just riding my horse…”, the salad dressing, and alas, Nick Kroll.
1. People pretending like they care deeply about Marilyn Monroe’s dress as soon as Kim Kardashian wore it (aka the Met Gala)
If I have one grievance with the internet, it’s this. I know I’m a Kardashian apologist. I know I’m obsessed with them. I get it. But for people to act like Marilyn Monroe’s Happy Birthday Mr. President dress meant more to them than their own grandmother’s wedding gown? That it was a precious American heirloom? Please. It lived in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! in Orlando, Florida until Kim decided to give it any sort of press again. Throw. Me. A. Bone.
Like I said before, this year was exhausting. If there was a Spotify wrapped for the hours I’ve spent scrolling, watching and posting—it would be pretty horrifying. But, I do it for you. The patrons of this blog. To educate, enlighten and use as a sounding board for my nonstop internal monologue.
Thank you for the best year of Coffee Order! It may be the first year, but here’s to 2023—many more posts about things I care way too much about.
Send this to someone so they have a more culturally relevant 2023.

After dialing in to "nature & bird sounds" resulting in an empty promised 10 minutes of meditation, I was blessed to see this sitting right above Aritzia & The Real Real "last chance to buy" bullshit. Let me just say, this article was the cup of coffee that I needed, resulting from the perfect Coffee Order.
I laughed. Well done Olivia <3
