So you wanna be Olivia Hawkins
Narcissistically assuming you want to buy things I have.
I take recommendations very seriously.
If someone asks me for a restaurant, I give it genuine thought. What jeans to get, where to grab a coffee, where to go in Paris, whatever it is—all the same. I try to give the best answer possible, tailored to each individual from which the question is posed.
For this week’s Friday letter, I decided to assemble a list of links comprising my absolute bar-none holy grail items. I use most of these things every single day. They are not only clothes, as you will find out in a few moments. I don’t know why you would want to use the things I have, but if you’ve ever thought my outfit or skin looked good, or wondered what green tea I drink religiously, you’re in luck.
Without further ado, here is the master guide to all things Olivia S. Hawkins.
Live The Process Flare Pants ($140)
These are my ultimate workout pants. I know sweating in a flare is a little controversial, but they’re smooth as butter, super mobile, and keep everything compressed in the best way.
Bink Water Bottle ($24, currently on sale)
Water bottles are very ugly. My Owala goes two places—the Equinox and then back home. The Bink is the cutest water bottle I could find. I have the Lounge Straw Cap that makes me feel like an adult-sized toddler with a sippy cup but I digress.
An iPad (starting at $349)
Creating a ShopMy link for an iPad is very funny. I chose Best Buy because that’s where mine is from. I have the iPad Pro from 2020, but any version will do. You may wonder—what would I use an iPad for? I implore you to find out.
Banana Republic Cashmere Crewneck ($160, then 40% off at checkout)
Cashmere is a hot button topic. Everyone has their favorite retailer. Some people spend upwards of $600, some people won’t spend more than $60 for things marketed as “CashSoft”. Banana Republic has nailed the cashmere crewneck in my opinion, I wear my black one as much as possible.
Someone recommended this moisturizer to me when I was going to Paris to get at the pharmacy, and I’m not sure if the United States version is different or just more expensive. I will never use another moisturizer ever again. It heals all irritation, keeps my skin supple without breaking out, and never feels super heavy. The French know their skin, oui oui.
