The 2022 Coffee Order Gift Guide: Fashion
Prices are up on this one and everything is neutral.
Asking for or giving clothes as gift is never easy.
Giving is difficult because you never truly know a person’s taste, you don’t exactly know their size, and you may be buying something that’s already out of season.
Asking is difficult for the latter reason that giving is, but there are often too many things to ask for, too many trends to follow, and who knows who you’re going to want to be in one month, no less for the rest of the year?!
I tried to make this list pretty timeless while still knowing what’s chic now, and also semi-cost effective.
Here’s the 2022 Coffee Order Fashion gift guide!
1. SKIMS Soft Lounge long sleeve dress, $88
I’ve said this before, but if I could fill my closet with one brand, it would be SKIMS. This long sleeve dress is a closet staple, you can dress it up or down, layer for any season, and it’s so timeless you’ll be wearing it for the rest of your life (or until it falls apart).
2. Staud black leather Alec Bag, $350
Bags are difficult because you want to own it forever, but you also want the trendiest, coolest one out there right now. I often like to shop vintage bags, but one of my favorite RTW brands currently is Staud. Their bags are great quality, affordable, and effortlessly cool. The Alec Bag silhouette will never not be trendy, and it’s a great size for anything you need it for.
3. Sandy Liang Mary Jane Pointe Shoe in Umber Satin, $495
I’m overly obsessed with ballerinacore and will force it onto anyone I have access to. Ballet flats are hard to style because you want to look like Kaia Gerber and not like you had to buy them for your office’s workplace dress code. Sandy Liang is the coolest designer (to me) right now, and these ballet flats are what I dream of (and aren’t as pricey as the Miu Miu ones for the same look).
4. Monogram wallets from The Real Real, $200+
Refreshing your wallet always feels great. If you want to be a bit more sustainable this holiday season, The Real Real has an amazing assortment of the most unique vintage wallets ever, for a range of prices and sizes (just check the condition, first).
5. Anine Bing Sweatshirt, $185
Designer sweatshirts always feel extremely luxe and chic. Every girl you pass on the sidewalk in New York has an Anine Bing, I myself received one as a gift recently, and it’s on this list because it’s in my top three favorite sweatshirts ever (I own probably over thirty). Another piece you can dress up or down, and feel like you know what’s up while doing so.
I wasn’t going to list these at risk of seeming like a total Bella Bot, but anyone you gift these to would be probably overjoyed to recieve them. I wear my Gazelles almost daily, they’re super comfortable, once again, can be worn to any occasion (I love to wear them with dresses or nicer outfits for a cooler—Bella Bot—vibe), and will hopefully stay cool like they were in the fourth grade for a while.
7. Reformation High Rise Wide Leg Wilder Jeans, $148
Jeans are hard. They don’t fit right, you never know what type is trendy, and an uncomfortable pair can ruin your day. Baggier high-rise jeans tend to be more true-to-size, and Reformation has their comfortable fabrics absolutely down pat.
8. Free People Lana Coat, $198
I love a teddy coat, but I also have been looking for a trench. This is somewhere in the middle, where the fuzzy texture is subtle and the silhouette remains super big and all encompassing. Most coats like this are way over $200, so Free People is serving us a good deal on this one!
9. Djerf Avenue Forever Blazer, $179
Matilda is the coolest girl in the world right now. It only makes sense to put one of her things on this list. Having a blazer that you love in your closet is crucial and worth the investment, and if it makes you feel like Miss. Djerf, what more could you ask for!
10. La Ligne striped Camel cashmere sweater, $250
Expensive, high quality sweaters are an amazing gift to both give and receive. They’re perfect to give your mom, boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, boss—everyone appreciates them. La Ligne’s are my favorite, and when you can find them at a discount (like this one or during their Black Friday sale), it’s a true Christmas miracle.
