The Coffee Order 2022 Gift Guide: Home
Because apartment decor will literally never be finished.
Decorating your home when you have no idea where to start is hard.
It’s also hard when you have limited space, which most of us have.
It’s also hard when you have a limited budget, which, most of us have!
That’s why asking or giving little home trinkets/items for the holidays is so ideal—you never know how much you wanted them until now.
Here are some cute, affordable items any space would be happy to home.
1. Hand Painted Tapered Candles, $14 each
Too pretty to light, these tapered candlesticks are hand painted to perfection with super cute emblems. You can mix and match them with unique candle holders, use them in your living room, bedroom, or for a really chic dinner party setup.
I swear by these for storage that’s visually appealing, but still functional. The small ones are perfect for little trinkets or random accessories, and the medium to large sizes can fit clothes like leggings, sweaters, sweatshirts and beyond. Plus, they’re stackable for space consciousness.
You would think that SKIMS has been paying me for how much I’ve been mentioning them in these gift guides, but I’m just a broke fan girl. I own a Barefoot Dreams blanket which is, in fact, dreamy, but this is at a lower price point, and comes from the same fabric as their cloud-like cozy collection. Also, it’s just chicer to say your blanket is SKIMS.
Cute drink wear is a nice way to make kitchen storage look less cluttered and more cool, especially if it’s out in the open. Cute mugs are also a good way to make your desk setup more aesthetically pleasing, and who doesn’t appreciate another mug (or four).
5. Maison Margiela REPLICA candle set, $85
If you’re a candle person, you know there can never be enough. Candle sets are always a nice gift, and a great way to discover new brands/scents without committing. If you’re (or someone you love is) a fashionphile, these Margiela ones will earn you bonus points.
6. Abbode Embroidered Prints, $85
Prints are always at the top of my wishlist. Finding individual pieces for a space and collecting over the years from different places is always exciting, especially if they’re different than what you usually see. Abbode, a home boutique in Nolita is one of my favorites, and their selection of embroidered prints make a fab gift.
If you’re a Matilda Djerf disciple with a limited budget, these floral sheets are a discounted way to get the look, while still being cozy. Trust me, I sleep on them every night.
8. Anthropologie Cocktail Shaker, $58
Bar carts/shelves are always fun to get items for, especially because they’re always a more-the-merrier situation! This shaker from Anthropologie is both functional and fashionable.
I love a game. I love playing them with people I know and people I just met, I love to bring them to bars or restaurants to play, and I love receiving them as gifts. Games are also a fun home accessory to collect and store in your space, and always come in handy on a rainy day.
Can you tell I have a drink wear obsession? Coming Soon NYC is one of my favorite shops, and their location on Orchard Street has some of the best gifts ever, especially for the person who appreciates quirkier or more creative things in their space. This wine glass set is great to collect and have forever, and you’ll always know which glass is yours (if you remember your color).
Send this to your friend who’s never done decorating their apartment!
