Things I liked: April
Monthly favorites a week late, xoxo, your favorite influencer
The weather outside is warming up, and I’m here to let you know about all of my favorite things to wear, use, or watch inside with air conditioning!
Just kidding. But alas, here are my top five favorite things I bought or enjoyed in the month of April.
1. Aerie’s crossover tennis skirt
I’m big into wearing tennis skirts this spring/summer instead of bike shorts. They give a preppy, chic, cute athleisure vibe that says I-still-want-to-be-comfortable-but-look-like-Camille-Charriere.
This one by Aerie does a really nice job of staying flattering but also versatile. I literally have worn this to a bar. Not a cute bar, but a bar nonetheless. Also, Aerie is always on sale, and I’ve had this for a while now with no issues after multiple wears or washes.
2. Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors
I love a good Sally Rooney-adjacent style book. Cleopatra and Frankenstein is like Conversations with Friends but if it took place in New York City, with a significantly more eclectic, chic, artistic crew of friends who uplift the story into twists and turns that truly had my heart racing.
I laughed, I cried, and I wished that I was a young British artist with a 40 year-old-husband financing her life, until I absolutely didn’t.
In my quest of further becoming Camille Charriere, I decided to start sporting socks and loafers. I asked for these a few Christmases ago, and didn’t start wearing them regularly until recently.
They’re the only pair of non-sneaker shoes that don’t give me blisters, and in the opposite of the tennis skirt, I wear these as casually as I wear my uggs, sometimes even with the tennis skirt. These have even upheld in multiple trips to El Rocko lounge, IYKYK.
As a new owner of glasses due to nearsightedness, I needed a case that wasn’t the cheugville USA black leather one that Warby Parker gifted me.
I previously stated in my last monthly favorites that anything Baggu makes, I will purchase. This is no exception. I feel super cute pulling this out of my bag when I need to see the board that’s five feet away from me during class, and it protects my glasses, which is the second most important part, first being looking cute.
Another reality show I’ll be obsessed with for a month and then never watch an episode of ever again after that.
Selling Sunset is the epitome of everything I need while working, being stressed out, or just in need of a break from life: houses, drama, and extremely bad outfits. Would I buy a house off of one of the busiest streets in the United States for $20 million, complete with oversized Khloe Kardashian-esque furniture? No. Would I ever wear seven inch Louboutins to work? No. Can I afford to even do either of those things? No. But will I watch people do it for five hours a day? Yes.
Send this to your friends or family so that they know what’s cool!

As a recent consumer of Sam Edelman and these exact loafers, I couldn't agree more. You may also may have sold me on the baggu glasses case, I am running to urban outfitters to purchase.
